Rebirth Sweet Love: The Paranoid Ninth Master Has Fallen

Chapter 9: Husband, Are You Going to Watch Someone Bully Me?

Published 2026-07-16

So that was what she was after. Yun Manxia knew now. She didn't try to stop her. Instead, she stood perfectly calm and collected on the side, watching the show unfold.

"Moving out? What happened?" Lin Shen glanced at Bai Hedu. When the Ninth Master didn't say anything, he asked in surprise.

"Someone doesn't want me living here." Wu Xiaoya shot another glance at Yun Manxia, fighting back tears, her eyes rimmed red. "She said I'm just a servant's daughter... that I don't deserve—"

The moment those words came out, several of the subordinates turned to Yun Manxia with hostile expressions. They all knew Wu Xiaoya well—they were on good terms with her. And the look Wu Xiaoya had just directed at Yun Manxia couldn't have been more obvious. Everyone could tell who this person "unable to tolerate" her was.

"Xiaoya is Auntie Wu's daughter. Whether she deserves to live here is for the Ninth Master to decide!" Ning Fei shot Yun Manxia a cold glare and was the first to speak.

Yun Manxia remembered him. One of Bai Hedu's most loyal subordinates—young, hotheaded, harboring a crush on Wu Xiaoya. Later on... he'd be destroyed by her.

Under everyone's hostile gaze, Yun Manxia didn't change her expression at all. She simply looked at the man in the wheelchair and asked sweetly, "Hubby, I am the lady of Imperial Garden Villa, right?"

No matter how many times she used that title on him, it always stirred something different in his heart. Bai Hedu looked into the girl's clear, beautiful eyes, his gaze deepening. He relaxed back into his wheelchair and said unhurriedly, "Of course."

"Then who is she?" Yun Manxia's slender finger pointed at Wu Xiaoya.

No one dared to respond—they had no idea what she was getting at. In the end, only the honest maid standing nearby answered, "Madam, Xiaoya is Auntie Wu's daughter."

The next moment, the girl's lazy voice rang out—
"Oh, Auntie Wu's daughter. So in Imperial Garden Villa, a servant's daughter is more prestigious than I, the lady of the

house?"

Wu Xiaoya's expression shifted slightly.

She was about to speak, but Bai Hedu beat her to it—

"Who told you she's more prestigious than you?"

"Isn't she?" Yun Manxia tilted her head. "If not, then how did she dare openly hijack my room and throw my things into

the guest room?"

"I'm the lady of Imperial Garden Villa, yet I'm supposed to go sleep in the guest room. A servant's daughter wants to

take the secondary bedroom. Is that how things work in Imperial Garden Villa?"

Her words fell, and the air went dead still.

Ning Fei and the others had no idea about any of this. They all turned to look at Wu Xiaoya in shock.

A flash of panic crossed Wu Xiaoya's face. "Ninth Master, I didn't know she was your wife..."

"Then you must be hard of hearing." Yun Manxia cut her off coldly. "Two people right next to you called me 'Madam' loud

and clear. And you didn't hear it?"

Wu Xiaoya's expression froze instantly.

She bit her lip and looked at Bai Hedu with wronged eyes. "Ninth Master, you promised me. If I did well on my college

entrance exams, you'd give me a reward. I want that room—"

That was the closest room to Bai Hedu in all of Imperial Garden Villa. She wanted to live there!

Yun Manxia's eyes narrowed dangerously.

A reward, huh.

Bai Hedu always kept his promises. What if he'd already agreed?

She whipped around to face Bai Hedu and, before he could open his mouth, blurted out—

"Hubby, you're not going to just stand there and watch a servant's daughter bully me, are you?"

Her tone was a little bratty, but not off-putting. Her beautiful eyes went wide as she waited for his answer.

Wu Xiaoya's face turned green. She hated nothing more than being called a servant's daughter!

Bai Hedu met the girl's slightly anxious gaze. For a moment, he said nothing.

Yun Manxia's heart clenched tighter. Her eyes went even wider.
Then he spoke. "No."

A wave of relief washed over her, and unrestrained delight bloomed in her bright eyes.

Wu Xiaoya gasped. "Ninth Master?!"

"I did say I'd give you a reward," Bai Hedu said evenly. "But that doesn't mean I'll agree to unreasonable demands. For

instance—having the lady of Imperial Garden Villa give up her room to you and go sleep in the guest room herself."

Dead silence all around.

Wu Xiaoya's face cycled between red and white, layered with sheer disbelief. She clearly hadn't expected Bai Hedu to

turn her down.

Watching her expression, Yun Manxia nearly burst out laughing. Sensing Bai Hedu's gaze snap toward her, she suppressed

it just in time and blinked her beautiful eyes at him innocently.

She didn't notice the way his gaze suddenly darkened. She turned her head and smiled at Wu Xiaoya. "By the way, where

are you moving to? Do you have a place to stay? Want me to help you find one?"

Wu Xiaoya: "..."

Her face flared between green and red.

Under everyone's stares, she forced out stiffly, "I'm... not moving anymore..."

She couldn't care less what anyone thought of her now, or how humiliated she'd look! If she actually moved out, she'd be

cutting off her nose to spite her face!

Imperial Garden Villa wasn't somewhere just anyone could live. She'd only gotten in because her mother had begged for

ages. If she left now, how would she ever come back?!

"Oh. Then go put my room back the way it was. Find everything you threw out and bring it all back. Take all your stuff

out. That's not hard, is it?" Yun Manxia ordered, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Wu Xiaoya's eyes burned red with fury.

This woman was treating her like a servant! But in front of the Ninth Master, she didn't dare say a word. She could only

answer through gritted teeth, "...Understood."

She turned to head upstairs, but Yun Manxia suddenly glanced at the suitcase in her hand and said helpfully:

"That's a heavy suitcase. Hard to carry on your own, isn't it?"

Without waiting for Wu Xiaoya's response, she instructed the maid beside her, "Help her."

The maid stepped forward.

Wu Xiaoya tried to stop her, but it was too late.

The next second, the honest maid lifted the suitcase and blurted out in confusion—

"Huh? It's empty?"

Everyone: "..."

Yun Manxia raised an eyebrow in mock surprise. "Weren't you moving out? Why bring an empty suitcase?"

Feeling every pair of eyes on her, Wu Xiaoya burned with shame and fury. She hated Yun Manxia with every fiber of her

being!

"...I'll go clean up the room!" She snatched the suitcase back and practically fled.

Yun Manxia turned around and caught Bai Hedu's meaningful gaze.

A flicker of guilt crossed her mind. He'd definitely seen through her.

But then she thought about it—she hadn't done anything wrong. Wu Xiaoya had started it. Was she supposed to just take

it?

Her confidence surged right back. "Hubby, what is it?"

In Bai Hedu's deep, cold eyes, a rare, almost imperceptible trace of amusement flickered past.

"Nothing," he said. He paused. "Who touched your room?"

Was he going to get back at them for her?

Yun Manxia's eyes lit up. She scanned the room, locked onto two figures, and pointed without a second's hesitation—

"Those two!"

The two maids who'd been sucking up to Wu Xiaoya went pale as ghosts.
